Dave Thomas is the current Administrative Secretary of OAPT and has been involved in the organization for 12 years. Additionally, he holds membership in NAPT and served as both president and vice president of local transportation supervisors. He served as a bus driver for 22 years and a supervisor for 12 years in Madison Local Schools in Mansfield, Ohio.

Dave is motivated to work in the field because he enjoys children and is concerned for the safety of the pupil transportation. He joined OAPT to learn from other supervisors and to keep updated on new rules and regulations.

Outside of his role as administrative secretary, Dave is married and has four children, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He likes woodworking and served as a Boy Scout leader for 20 years.
