Darrell R. Cook, South Region Director, has been employed by the Washington-Nile Local School District for 18 years as transportation supervisor/building & grounds coordinator. Prior to his school employment he was co-owner of a family operated truck and bus dealership. Darrell has been married for 41 years and has three daughters and six grandchildren. In addition to his school and family he is active in many community and church organizations.
Darrell has been a member of OAPT for 17 years and has served as South Region Director for the past 15 years. He is active in the South Region Road-E-O and has served as judge at the State Road-E-O. He serves on the state safety committee, rules review committee, and represented the state at the National Conference on School Transportation in Warrensburg, Missouri.
OAPT recognized Darrel at the 2003 annual workshop as the William Rice Award of Excellence recipient.
